How to completely uninstall/remove Zinstall?
Here are the instructions for completely uninstalling/removing Zinstall from your computer:
- Uninstall Zinstall from Start > Control Panel > Uninstall a Program (Vista / Win7 ) or Start > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs ( Win XP )
- Delete the folder c:\Zinstall – this contains the migrated data and will free up space.
- OPTIONAL: Go to Start > Control Panel > Network and Internet > Network and sharing Center > Change Adapter Settings
There, for each of Zinstall’s virtual network adapters do the following:- Right click on it and click “Properties”
- Click the “Configure” button
- Go to the “Driver” tab
- Click “Uninstall”
- Then click “OK” to confirm the uninstall
- OPTIONAL: Open regedit and delete the registry key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\ZinstallHelperService
- Restart your computer to complete the uninstall process.
