You ran Zinstall on the old and new computers, connected them with a network cable, but Zinstall on the new computer cannot find the old computer and just keeps “Searching…” or displays a message with code 322.

Solution:

1. Make sure that you downloaded and ran Zinstall on both the old and new computers.
2. Make sure that Zinstall was successfully activated on both computers: If Zinstall was activated you’d get a message: “What is your migration scenario?” – on both computers.
3. Make sure that you properly chose “I’m moving between two computers” on both computers.
4. Make sure that you properly chose “This is my old computer” on the old computer and “This is my new computer” on the new computer.
5. Make sure that you connected the old and new computer with a network cable or connected both of them to your home network / internet router. Consult the user guide for detailed instructions about how to properly connect the old and new computers.
6. If the problem persists and you’re still getting a message with code 322 – the problem is caused by one of the following:

Firewall / Antivirus on one of the computers is preventing the connection:

1. Disable all frewall / antivirus software on both computers, including the built-in Windows firewall
2. Make sure the frewall is really disabled – not just temporarily suspended
3. Restart both computers, make sure frewall / antivirus is disabled on both computers, and run Zinstall XP7 again
4. In some cases – disabling the firewall / anti-virus is not enough and you’ll need to uninstall it.
5. The following firewalls / anti-virus products are known to cause problems:

Panda Antivirus Pro 2011 and possibly other versions

SUPERAntiSpyware 4.49.1000 and possibly other versions

There is a problem with the physical network cable connection:

1. 1. Make sure the cable is plugged in properly and is secured in the cable jack
  2. Make sure you are using a network (Ethernet) cable

The network card is not installed or is disabled on one of your computers:

1. 1. Make sure the network card is installed properly on both computers (shown in Control Panel -> Network Connections)
  2. Make sure the network card is enabled on both computers (is not marked as “Disabled” in Network Connections)

A problem occurred while auto configuring the network settings on the old or new computer:

1. On both the old and new computers, configure the relevant network adapter to have its IP set automatically via DHCP. If you’re not sure how to do that, here are some detailed instructions:
